Babington Row

Hume   Babington was an architect and engineer from Derry. He also advertised   himself as a surveyor and house agent, and it was in this capacity that he   worked for the Cope family after the death of Robert B. Templer in 1886. This   row of terraced houses built before 1830, at one time called Babington’s Row,   may have been improved by him during the time he acted as agent in Loughgall.   He inherited a country estate, Creevagh House, Co. Derry, and was a JP for   Counties Armagh and Derry. He died on 6 June 1925.
